Great quote! Love it. I like reading through your thoughts on writing, very similar to my experiences with my first book.

I'm also enjoying your blog. I checked out the first chapter of THIS DAME FOR HIRE on your website, and was amazed about how you recreated the cadence of the 1940s. I've played around with setting a mystery during the same time period, but I don't think that I could pull it off in an authentic way. Did you get your ear for the dialogue from older family members? Reading books or seeing films either written during or about that time? Or did you just imagine how it might sound?

p.s. Congrats on the RD deal! Seems like a great fit.
