"A story is a way to say something that can't be said any other way, and it takes every word in the story to say what the meaning is."

Question: have you ever been in a critique group? Just wondering how you handle suggestions about your work. I find it difficult to know what to take and what to discard from my crit partners. I think I must be too hardheaded and/or prideful. Seems like the more feedback I get, the more I doubt myself.

Well, that's daunting.

I'm really enjoying Faye Quick. She's so likeable. Almost finished with This Dame...

Jess...Yes, I've been in a group. Many years ago. They can be dangerous. Be careful. But if two people say the same thing, consider it. If three say the same thing, change it.

Thank you for your kind words about DAME.

Patti,
She's talking about the third draft. :)
