I love this too. I'm a Georgette Heyer fan and I came out of the closet about it a long time ago - she's a really good plotter and a fine researcher, people who are sniffy about historical romance could usually learn something from her attention to detail.
Glad to hear about the eye op - I would have wished you well but it seemed a bit counterproductive to expect you to read something when you were supposed to be resting your eyes!
