Teasing Me

On Monday, while I was reading, an idea came to me.  I made notes. I put them into my computer.  I felt excited.

On Tuesday I couldn’t care less.

On Wednsday I thought about it again.  It interested me. Maybe, I thought, maybe….

Today I couldn’t care less.

Which means, tomorrow, you'll pour out five good pages...then Saturday arrives, and you won't want to work on the weekend anyway.
Sounds like a plan. It just might work!

Sometimes writing is exactly like life: today I'm excited, tomorrow I couldn't care less.

I've lived my entire pretty much just what you say here. It's annoying. I have to keep remembering what Jack Bickham always taught: "What you write will read the same whether you feel like writing or you don't.When you go back a week later and read your stuff, you won't be able to tell the days you felt like writing from the days you had to push to write."

I've found this is true. But the older I grow, the harder it is to push myself. I generally take a nap.

Love your blog.

This is why I could never be a writer!

Wow, Sandra. I think you've written a poem. There's rhythm in this post. Take a look. It might even be Flash Fiction. It has a beginning, a middle and an ending that leaves me hanging. :)

I know you'll write again. I just know it.

We shouldn't consider writing as something that comes naturally. Writing is work. People with 'normal jobs' wake up in the morning, not wanting to work. The same with writing. We also have our 'blue days', not wanting to write and having no passion for it.

Lighten up! The sun will shine again. It has again for me.
